Beta Testers Wanted...
We are looking for people interested in evaluating and testing a new OS/2
C++ persistence and object management toolkit. This product automates the
storage of C++ objects to/from relational databases, isam files, streams,
etc. In addition it posesses very strong transaction and object management
features such as support for nested transactions, rollback of changes to
in-memory objects, instance tracking, and garbage collection.
This is NOT a lame tool like the Data Access Builder. It is a full
featured persistence engine and CORBA DDL compiler that allows complex
object models to be mapped to a number of storage technologies. The first
beta will support Oracle 7.x, DB2/2 v2+, dBase files, and streams. The
second release will support Windows (32 bit), Sybase,SQLServer, ODBC, and
Borland's 32 bit BDE. Compilers include VAC++,and Borland C++. Unlike
SQL-type class libraries, this tool fully manages object peristence and
transactions without any additional user-written code.
If you are interested, send me mail via the internet:
john{at}secant.com. Please include your name, address, daytime phone and fax
number, and how you would use such a tool. I would also be happy to
provide additional information if desired. For those with web browsers,
more info can be found at http://www.secant.com.
Thanks,
