   Why not hang on to 3.5 and just wait for things to catch up?
 
   This sort of "slinky effect" is a pretty common phenomena in
marketing. One end of the slinky comes to rest while the the other end
has to catch up and eventually go shooting past to who knows where.
Then the process starts all over again. It's as though the compiler is
at one end of the slinky and apps are at the other. If the market is
going to keep growing, then they have to continue to change places in
a somewhat regular, if annoying, fashion. This is, no doubt,
irritatingly off-topic, but I'm on my second cup of coffee and...
well... you know how it is.
