I could now raise the question, what was the king of the 8bit computers of the early 80s. I suppose it was the Commodore 64 by outperforming any competitor in the sheer numbers of units sold. Suppose the Atari 8bit line came second. There might even have been better computers. But they were either too expensive or didn't had the distribution network to make an impact. I think the Memotech MTX https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memotech_MTX> could had taken the crown, but came too late (1983) and had financial problems leading to their demise. -- Andreas My random toughts and comments https://news-commentaries.blogspot.com/ --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05* Origin: Agency HUB, Dunedin - New Zealand | FidoUsenet Gateway (3:770/3) SEEN-BY: 57/0 116/102 153/150 250 226/20 317/2 3 393/68 633/267 280 640/384 SEEN-BY: 712/620 848 770/0 1 3 100 340 772/0 1 210 500 @PATH: 770/3 1 712/848 633/267 |
