Well, it seems that TimEd does not want to compile on SuSE 8.0, along with 
MsgEd, and a number of the Husky utils, TimEd compiles fine on my Debian 
3.0r0 system, it just finished, and it works, tho as you point out, it is a 
moot point on my Debian system, because it runs the BBS, MBSE BBS, which uses 
a JAM msgbase.

Could you supply instructions on how I might compile TimEd with SMAPI, or a 
pointer to existing instructions, please.

As soon as I get around to installing the 1.2gig HDD, I got a hold of the 
other day, I will re-install SuSE 8.0, and try again, not that I particularly 
like SuSE Linux, I needed the HDD space for a project, and had to delete it.
