How do we extend the number of files that may Are you using OS/2 API calls such as DosOpen() directly, or are you going through a C/C++ runtime library (iostreams, fopen(), etc.)? If you are using OS/2 API calls directly, then use DosSetMaxFH() or DosSetRelMaxFH() calls to increase the number of handles available to your process. If you are using C/C++ runtime library calls, the above suggestion may or may not work. Even if you DosSetMaxFH() a very high limit on file handles, there may still be a limit in the run-time library that would need to be changed some other way. How to change this limit (or even if such a change is possible) depends upon the particular compiler run-time libraries you are using. --- Maximus/2 2.02* Origin: OS/2 Connection {at} Mira Mesa, CA (1:202/354) SEEN-BY: 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 955 712/407 SEEN-BY: 712/515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 202/354 300 777 3615/50 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
