NEW CARGO SHIP DOCKS WITH INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION

The tenth Russian Progress resupply vehicle to the International
Space Station is scheduled to dock at approximately 9:55 a.m. EST,
Tuesday, Feb. 4.

Commentary and coverage, originating from the Space Station Flight
Control Room at the Johnson Space Center, Houston, will be carried
live on NASA Television beginning at 9 a.m. EST. NASA TV is on GE-2,
Transponder 9C, vertical polarization at 85 degrees West longitude,
3880 MHz, with audio at 6.8 MHz.

The Progress Nine ship that arrived at the Station in September is
scheduled to undock from the aft port of the Zvezda Service Module on
Feb. 1. The new Progress launches from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in
Kazakhstan on Feb. 2 for its two-day trip to the Station. Neither the
Progress Nine undocking nor the Progress 10 launch will be televised.

Progress 10 will carry supplies for the Expedition Seven crew, which
arrives at the Space Station in March. It will also carry repaired
components for the Destiny laboratory Microgravity Science Glovebox
that experienced a power failure last November.

Expedition Six Commander Ken Bowersox, Flight Engineer Nikolai Budarin
and NASA Station Science Officer Don Pettit are in the third month of
their four-month mission on board the Space Station. The crew will
unload the Progress shortly after docking. Pettit will immediately
begin work on the Microgravity Science Glovebox, so it can be
reactivated to support all planned science investigations before the
end of the Expedition 6 mission.
