It can use 1GB cards and *possibly* 2GB cards. 1MB for sure. A Nikon tech was
quoted saying that the camera has a write speed of about 12X, so anything faster
is wasted on location. Of course, if you have a FireWire or USB2.0 card reader,
transfers to the computer will be much faster.
I use a 256MB card and rarely fill it. If I were doing a lot of traveling, I
would get one of the newish battery powered card-reader/CD-burner devices,
along with a 512MB card or Delkin's 650MB card that is designed to be the size
of a CD.
