If someone had built a full-fledged mail client into a BBS package, FD plus a
BBS would have kicked ass over the other LAN-based email clients out there. I
remember running WordPerfect Office and Quickmail, and the amount of work
needed to keep them from melting down was considerable. FD would have just
worked.
