Yes! Used F-Prot for a couple of years before I got IBMAV. It appeared
to be fully capable in scanning the system and hard drives, despite the
fact that the hard drives are entirely HPFS format. To verify that, I
planted the EICAR test file on the hard drives and found that F-Prot was
able to pick it up. I was unable to verify that it would pick up any
actual virus :)
My concern with F-Prot was that its monitoring function was active only
during VDM (DOS) sessions. I wasn't sure what might be going on during
OS/2 operations. (With IBMAV I'm still not sure what's happening, but
am hopeful that, as a native OS/2 program, it's more likely to do what's
needed.)

That's the DOS, shareware version only. But got the impression that they
were not really serious about selling the OS/2 version.
