You can do it any number of ways, however, you usually use adlib type music
which is not DMA driven. For example, in doom the 'music' is adlib, the
'effects' (monster screams, blasts, etc) are played through the digital
channel with DMA.
You should check out any good adlib music player (for example: RAD) for the
general idea (which is to set up a timer-griven interrupt at around 50 hertz
and to feed the adlib a new command once every interrupt)
