-> TW> the day when I had my Commodore 128. -> TW> Very nice machine. But the C-64 side was wasted as I far perfered -> TW> teh CPM side of the machine. In those days there was a very nice -> TW> seplection of software that would run as it was Osborne/Kaypro -> TW> compatable. -> And since you only used the CPM side, you wasted most of the C128 -> side of it also, since CP/M was run on the Z80 cpu.. Run128 was my MOST Favored Wordprocessor so the 128 side did get a wrokout. I also had CPM Wordstar but Run 128 was more convient. -> And speaking of keeping with the title of this conference, I'm -> using an Amiga for the BBS and have found a device 'handler' that -> will allow me to access all of my old C=1581 disks (and even format -> some, if need be) on this Amiga of mine.. Now, all I gotta do is -> remember where I stashed all those C1581 3.5" disks.. If my head -> wasn't attached, I'd probably lose that as well.. I used to use the Big Blue Reader to pass text files back and forth with soem PC users. Another 128 application I liked. I stikk have a few Commorore things like the SMORE Cartridge fro the C-64 and the C-64 Programers Reference giuide. And fro the 128 side I have Timeworks Partner 128. It is a cartridge based set of desktop acessories. Appoinmtment Calendar, Memo Pad, Phone Book & Automatic Dialer, Address Book, Calculator, Typewriter, Label Maker, and Screen Printer. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
