You have me close by.   (and I know some good outside consultants
locally as well, I'll probably end up working for them some day.)

OS400 is what we run (and Win2000S on an IXA/xSeries server, they are
interconnected). There's no other operating system like it, but it's quite
easy to master. Our AS/400 is 1 generation to old to run a Linux partition.
(not that I'd run Linux on it for anything other than play stuff...)
