Hi,
I'm a beginner to programming. I have used REXX and I have begun studying
TURBO C/C++ for DOS. I would like to make OS/2 PM apps. that are
effective, and easy to create. I'm not 100% good at REXX, but I can learn.
I would like to know where on this bbs ( not INTERNET, 'cause I don't have
access) I can get a share/freeware program for OS/2 that will allow me to
make OS/2 PM apps. and maybe even compile it (making it into an .EXE file).
I have looked for WIN 3.1 programs, but couldn't find it. I have tried
QBASIC,but it's just TOOOOOOOOO hard to learn. I found REXX a little easy
to learn, and sort of programm. I'm still stuyding TURBO C/C++ for DOS (
especially making games [I have Clayton Walnum's "Creating TURBO C++
GAMES", that is beginning to make sense, and I might find it VERY
useful] ).
My main interest in OS/2 is to make GAMES ( I think REXX might not be able
to make games, especially for PM, am I right? ).
I have seen such names as GNU, EMX, etc. in the PROGRAMMING section on many
bbses ( i.e. this bbs, and the IBM BBS-416-492-5042 ). What are these
files, and do they allow me to make programs for OS/2?
JUST WONDERING,
Beginner at OS/2 PROGRAMMING ( and a bit of DOS ),
