I admit to becoming a bit anti-social as I've grown older. I prefer my own
company these days, much to my mother's worry, and am avoiding going out as
much as I can except for early mornings and occasionally late night to go
grocery shopping. I guess with what's happened with me in thr past few
years, I just like to be left alone though I do like going to visit family
and the (very few) local friends I have.

Reminds me of a tagline I saw long ago: "Just when you think you've had
enough, someone builds a better idiot."
Makes me think of something my mother told me when I was young: "When you
think you have it bad, someone comes along and shows you things could be
much worse."
