1237ab844633 tech Hello Greg - CA>> Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us. Have you CA>> done any other searches lately or just this one search? GE> I almost decided to ignore this, then I said "what the GE> hell". GE> The way you worded your reply could easily be taken two GE> ways. Please choose the appropriate response, as befits GE> your comments. GE> Respose #1: GE> You're quite welcome, Charles. I also had a collection of GE> magazines from that same time period, and always enjoyed GE> reading about the strange inventions, futuristic GE> predictions and innovative ideas that came about during GE> that era. When you mentiond the engine, it sounded like the GE> kind of thing I would have found interesting. I didn't GE> remember seeing it in any of the mags I had, so I went GE> searching. A few of the current developers they spoke to GE> gave the impression that it's something they just thought GE> of last week. I'm sure they'd be surprised to learn just GE> how long ago the original idea was conceived. I did the same search and actually read the webpages. Most mentioned several patents they believe applied to free-piston engine design starting back in the late 1800's. I doubt you read _any_ of the pages at all in your rush to post your much shorter and much different reply that you actually _did_ post. GE> And yes, I've done many searches, usually for people who GE> don't have I-Net access, or don't have the patience to wade GE> through hundreds or thousands of pages looking for the GE> exact info they want/need, or may appreciate getting more GE> info than they currently have. I like to help if/when I can. Cute attempt to recover from your first comment. ;-) GE> Response #2: GE> Feeling a bit snotty today, Chucky? No Greggy, not really. Why do you ask? GE> Do you ever wonder why you seem to get into so many pissing GE> matches with other posters? Not at all. I know why. Many of the men who post on FIDO have a very feminine snotty way of replying and I don't particularly like it. GE> Oh, and I did do one other search today...for "snotty, GE> sarcastic d!ckhead". It only returned one "hit"... Let me guess, it was a picture of you in drag? > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
