I run a Supra 288iPnP with Binkley and Win3.11 (shortly NT4.0!!!) and I had 
similar problems when I first installed my modem.  There is a programme that 
you run that comes with your modem called WTM.EXE. Run this and configure the 
modem to the correct com port and give it an IRQ.  Note these settings down!!
Make sure you are loading the Supra driver in config.sys.  Enter the control 
panel in windows and edit the port that you assigned the modem to.  Change 
the IRQ address in windows so that it matches the one you put in WTM.  If it 
helps, Reinstall the modems software altogether and only install the DOS 
drivers. I have a feeling that the windows ones are for 32bit win..
