An account of one of those rare times when two Beatles are in the same
place at the same time....

>At 6:00pm the Rolling Stones secretary Sherry Daly & husband Steve Daly 
arrived & we had a light dinner & wine. We all left at 7:00pm by taxi & 
were driven to the Royal Albert Hall. On arrival we entered & picked up 
our VIP passes that Eric Clapton had kindly arranged for us. We went 
backstage & met up with a whole host of friends, & chatted to Ginger 
Baker, Eric Clapton & Melia, Jack Bruce & wife, Alan Rogan, actor 
Tom Hanks, Ringo Starr & Barbara, Zak Starkey, Olivia Harrison, 
Brian Roylance, Paul McCartney & many others. We then left & took 
our seats, & watched the Cream Concert, which was fabulous. They 
played & sang great, but Jack Bruce was exceptional. We returned 
to the VIP lounge & had a brief drink with friends, then at 10:30pm 
we left by chauffeur car for the After Show Party at 15 Kensington 
Palace Gardens, which was a beautiful building. Here we again met 
up with many of the friends from earlier, & joined more friends 
including Ray Cooper, Chris Squire (Yes), Mike Rutherford (Genesis), 
Roger Waters (ex-Pink Floyd), Claude Nobbs (Montreux Jazz Festival), 
and then the amazing French actor Jean Reno who was extremely 
friendly & impressed me a lot, then photographer Dave Bennet, & 
others. We had a great time. Eric Clapton never made it, as he 
has been suffering from the flu.
