Top stuff.  That means I can debug your version to find out why
the hell that "28" is appearing.  BFN.  Paul.

P.S. The two ENQs didn't have any effect, so I'm increasing
the pause to 2 seconds to see if that helps, for the other
problem.

P.P.S. Got it!!!  My modem doesn't echo numbers if I just go and
type some numbers in, that's why I never saw the "28" in my logs.
It is a bug in the config.  I'll send you a new executable.
