RB> ù Quoting Bob Rudolph from a message to Ryan Bagueros ù
RB> BR> Seems to me that what you are saying is that the USA is far worse
RB> BR> than anyone else in the world has ever been, that all we are about
RB> BR> is malevolence. I don't believe that.
RB> No, not worse - but not any better. The United States has murdered
RB> dissidents,
RB> it has suppressed free speech, it has invaded other countries in
RB> violation of
RB> international law, it holds political prisoners. The techniques might be
RB> different, but the effects are the same.
I find the USA to be far less onerous than you do. I'll begin to be
concerned
when they are successful with a massive gun grab, as England has done and
Australia has tried (with a notable and laudable lack of success...)
RB> BR> what DO you advocate that would take from someone who earns
RB> BR> something to give to someone who won't?
RB> Decentralized, money-less, mutual aid between collectives. Socialism
RB> without a government, sort of.
Read "Voyage of the Space Beagle" about such a society. You are dealing in
an
arrangement that guarantees that EVERYONE will get screwed regularly because
there is NO finite value attached to anything.
In a hunter-gatherer society, your postulate has merit and did work. In an
industrialized society, it won't - unless, of course, it is your plan that
we
go back to the point in time when nothing was so complex that the average
dummy couldn't make it or fix it.
