Israel is just (another) example of how national health care does (not)
work over the _long-term_. I could as easily have referred to how Canada
virtually shuts down nonemergency hospital care toward the end of the fiscal
year when it runs out of money, according to Canadian nurses...or its
waiting-list problems that effectively ration care by keeping patients "on
hold" until at least some of them die off or get frustrated with the wait and
come south to get care here at their own expense.
