Jeff, at 19:41 on May 13 1995, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... BG> FWIW, I am using the registered 16-port version of SIO 1.45 like so... BG> DEVICE=D:\OS2\BOOT\SIO.SYS (2:57600,2F8,3,-) BG> DEVICE=D:\OS2\BOOT\VSIO.SYS (2:57600,2F8,3,-) BG> MODE COM2:57600,N,8,1,DTR=OFF,RTS=HS,OCTS=ON,TO=ON,XON=OFF,BUFFER=ON BG> Thought I'd tell you just in case any of this makes a difference. JG> That was handy! I was going to ak you about your sio setup. You simply replace the COM.SYS and VCOM.SYS lines with the SIO drivers; the parameters are optional, necessary only with non-standard serial ports and IRQs. The "-" allows COM port sharing under MDOS, but I don't run any DOS comms apps anyway, so it's unnecessary here. I personally think that the MODE statement is far more important, and can be run transaprently at boot-up as a detached process from your config.sys by prefixing it with "RUN=" (as in RUN=MODE [parameters] etc).
