This all reminds me of a line of monitors used with
the Commodare computers many moons ago, wherein many
would develope a solder problem where the flyback xfmr
was attached to the pc board. The most lasting fix was
to squeeze the fat plastic end of a ball point pen
between the pc board and the bottom case. Putting a
drop of nail polish on it before forceing it in would
insure it stayed in place. (some times baleing-wire
fixs are the best answer 8-)
