Hi, everyone.
This is more of interest to those who run TG/2, but I finally got a working
¨(and free!) setup to drop to CMD.EXE. I use the MAXPIPE.EXE utility from
the ¨Maximus/2 archive (very handy and I'll make it available under the
Telegard ¨file area on my board).
What I do is put MAXPIPE.EXE in the main TG directory and then create a CMD
¨file as such:
{at}echo off
d:
cd \tg
set prompt=[BBS SHELL $p]
maxpipe %1 c:\os2\cmd.exe
set prompt=[$p]
cd \tg\temp%1
I like to set the prompt so I'll know that I'm in the shell (sometimes I'll
be ¨working on things and forget). This works fine and is very fast. I
don't know ¨what works with MAXPIPE, but IIRC, nearly any VIO (text-mode)
program will. ¨You might want to make sure you put your term program into
"doorway mode" to ¨allow the use of extended keys (CTRL, ATL,
Fkeys).
In fact, let me go make a little archive for the filebase ...
Later,
Sean
