All it takes is a long > [dull] needle and some thread [knitcrosheen works best for self > training]. > If you should fail, who's to know you even tried?????? > My problem comes when i try to make the second ring, it draws up in a > funny position. Someday i am going to find a teacher. Aleene's has been having someone on showing needle tatting. The kit has 2 instruction books, photos showing the steps, a newsletter that comes out I think bi-monthly, needle, thread and some other stuff, AND an 800 number to call if you get in trouble. Barbara says she'll talk you through the roblem. I think the kit is $20.00 I found it interesting that the first "hitch" is made on the front of the finger and the next one on the backside of the finger, that's all it takes. Creating the circle by pulling/easing all of the stitches off needle and pulling the thread until the circle forms looked easy. The kit is starting to call my name a whole lot louder. I've been looking at it for a while. ttyl Donna > Shalom, ll > --- SLMAIL v4.5a (#4185) --- FMail 0.98 ---------------> * Origin: Rapid River BBS 715-435-3855 (1:238/350) * Origin: (1:3634/12.35) |
