I have set up telegard with Gamesrv with good results. Except it is a bit
slower than I like. I would like to suggest something to you. Go to the
renegade website. It is getting stale as they are not doing much, but
Bluewolf has a program called vr32. it is a beta program, he claims is
stable, but not all that stable in certain conditions. However I think most
problems are with xp. download this and it is pretty easy to setup. It will
run with syncfoss. If I use msyncfoss ( which allowed telegard to fly when I
was able to load it ) would lock up a lot like yours did. But in general, it
is a nice loader for the bbs and also allows you to run 32 bit doors if you'd
like.It may help you if Gameserv doesn't cut it for you. I found tg to be a
bit more reliable under gameserv though. But if you can't load it, that does
not help you.

They have let things go a little there, so you may also try sourceforge
