G'day Paul,

On 09-05-95 08:02, Paul Edwards said to Jeff Green

 PE> Are you running com.sys or sio.sys?

com.sys. The latest one according to IBM. I'll try sio.sys later if you don't mind.

PE> Can you try swapping to the other? Other tests are:

PE> 1. swapping to different com port

I'm actually going to put a different com board in tomorrow, so I'll see
what comes out of that first.

PE> 2. changing speed of modem to 2400

PE> 3. Not using error correction

PE> 4. Make sure you have 5 meg of disk space free, and then go

PE> SET BINKDBG=debug.txt. This will record every single character

 PE> sent or received.

PE> Can you give this stuff a try in the next few days, and see if

PE> that double-send you see above goes away? That is the only bit

PE> of the log I am interested in. Thanks + bye. Paul.

I'll try it all one after the other. The problem I'm having with connection
to IBMs Global Network appears to be caused by the com card I have in the
machine at the moment, so this may be the reason for the problem btpe. I'll
try that first anyway.
