Hello Curtis -

CJ>> I'm not selling brochures either. Now, I do recall a
CJ>> discussion about whether the gravitational constant and
CJ>> other fundamental physics constants might vary somewhat
CJ>> over the lifetime of the universe, and how such might be
CJ>> checked. (The checks have been made since, BTW, and the
CJ>> speculation didn't pan out.) That is quite different from
CJ>> your assertion that "we already have worked out how to do
CJ>> anti-gravity on paper. It was then considered doable we
CJ>> just needed to work out the details."

CA>> Scout around the WWW and you will find many other people
CA>> who also believe this problem was partially solved many
CA>> years ago.

CJ> And doubtless I wouldn't have to leave FIDO to find someone
CJ> clueless enought to believe them. . .

I don't expect to profit from this discussion at all and I
sometimes wonder why I bother to tell anyone anything.

My uncle has equipment he designed setting on the moon now (the
'gold-plated moon exploration package') that measured the
gravitational 'tail' that passes between the moon and the earth
during the moon's orbit. He was one of the original designers
of the Nike-Zeus guidance system. He was not a 'flunky'
electronics engineer and had no reason to fabricate his replies
to my questions.

If you prefer to think that you are allowed to know about
everything as soon as it is invented (discovered, whatever word
you prefer) then that is OK with me. You aren't required to
know everything nor am I nor was my uncle.
