Incomplete, perhaps, but not false.  If the boxes come with Windows 9X, NT
or 2K, the Windows Socket stack and TCP/IP protocol come with it ready to
be installed.

In North Carolina?  Here the boxes either need networking installed to
connect to LANS or to connect to the Internet, or both.  If I have seen a
PC around here which did not have networking installed, it was only because
I had to install it.
