this is a cute idea, but you mentioned the shirts with logo/s , are they tee 
shirts or cotton. the only problem you might have when working with tee's is 
that they stretch and your quilt could look a little lunpy. alto. if you 
press on some fusiable webbing on the back and then cut it out. I don't see a 
problem and I'm sure the boys would love them, especially with their own 
pictures decoration them..some kind of nice keepsake for their children and 
on and on..
Do have fun. that's what wuilting is all about.I'v made about 30 and have 
none of my own. long before it's finished the girls are begging for it..they 
come in saying, " Have you finished my quilt yet?" By the time is's done it's 
the first one here to ask for it, usually gets it, unless I know I've 
slighted one of them  and then it's theirs..I have 6 girls and 2 boys. so 
none have a closet full of quilts..ha :))
