My son Toby (of whom more anon), shortly after he got his PPL
(Private Pilot's Licence) a couple of years ago took his
great-uncle for a "spin".
Ralph will be 90 come April. He flew Lancasters in the RAF during
WW2; he'd not been up in anything but "scheduled flights" for 45
years.
Toby asked if he'd like to take control. Would he ever ?
Toby had one hell of a job wresting control back again afterwards !
Ralph IS a little deaf - but we reckon he was playing on it !
