I run WordPerfect 6.1 for DOS and do it. Maybe
this will help.
If you just want to fill out a form once or twice,
forget it - do it by hand. I have some forms, however,
that I do fairly regularly. I set them up, nudging the
cursor into position with my ADV.WPM macro, which
follows. I type in directly on the screen the static
stuff, like name and address. I then place Merge Codes
in the areas where data changes. This becomes my FORM
file, saved on disk.
I then create a DATA file (usually a table) into
which I can enter the variables needed. If any
calculations are needed, they are done in this table.
Then the DATA are merged into the FORM and printed.
Perhaps you can adapt this method to your uses.
NOTE, In WP6.1DOS, the key numbers 1 thru 9 are
automatically displayed on screen. ENTER or ESC keys
stop the macro.
