RR> Amen man .....What part of the country are you from ...??
I live in Missouri south and west of St. Louis. It's an Ozark border
area.
RR> I would enjoy hearing what you collect !!!
As far as those that I collect for aquariums, I've had good success with
plains topminnows and blackspotted topminnows. I like madtoms and I've
got some slender madtoms and I've had success with stonecats.
RR> I am in north Florida
Luck you this time a year... But then again, I'm sure you have my
biggest problem most of the year. My problem is heat. My tanks get
mighty warm in the summer.
RR> And I
RR> also enjoy the madtoms but love the shiners, sunfish and darters
I like darters, but I can't keep 'em. The ones I've tried to keep needed
food swimming right past them. Otherwise they'll just sit under their
rocks and starve to death.
Sunnies are neat, but there's no chance at modelling a "community
stream" and including those baracudas of the stream.
There are a lot of of variety in the shiner department out here. Redfins,
rosyfaces, and bleeding shiners are very attractive.
RR> as A
RR> matter of fact I went collecting today
What did you catch?
