Boy! That's for sure. My mother has two beautiful orange trees
in her back yard. The fruit is perfect. Size, color, skin, but
you can't even touch it to the tip of your tongue without being
burned.
Evidently, in the freezes of a few years ago, the grafts died,
leaving only the sour roots.
BTW: I've cut into tomatoes where the seeds were sprouting, in
fact when I lived in Boston, I sometimes had the sprouts punch
thru the skins while the tomato still looked good enough to eat.
They have a slightly greenish tinge (the shoots). I wonder if
that counts?
