Oh I love Sailor Moon!  You could probably get a better response from the 
Anime echo (stay away from the Sailor Moon echo because it has nothing to do 
with SM anymore).  Anyway, in response to your question--they already did.  
They bought DiC, who owns the rights, so now they also have access to the 
show.  I hear that they (Disney) are planning to do a live action movie, and 
they are putting a lot of work to make sure that it is both similar to the 
show and not another cheesy live action cartoon gone bad.
