        I got this post kinda late (Uncle Sam's Navy has
taken me away for a month), so I'm hoping you still are
seeking some advice.  At any rate... Here's my input for
you if you're still hunting.
        The middle of last year, I purchased a "middle of
the road" model of Command Communications, COMSHARE 450
Telephone Line Sharing Device. It cost me $78 dollars in the
Navy Base Store where I bought it.  It worked great in
keeping my wife and kids from breaking my connection when I
was surfing the info highways.  Unfortunately, My wife
complained that I was "Bogarting" the phone too much!  After
three months of using this device (it connected up a
telephone, an answering machine, and a PC or FAX Modem on a
single line), I pulled the device and had another telephone
line installed just for my PC (and my Mrs. to get off my
back).  I still have the device that I plan on putting in a
garage sale for $30.  If you want it.... it's yours for the
same price, plus postage.  Every things there, original box,
instructions, power supply and phone line.  If you're
interested in saving a few bucks... drop me a post.  If not,
no probs... they are still excellent work around for a
single phone line installation.
