Hi Derek,
That doesn't surprise me.  I remember flying into Quansit Point, RI long 
after it supposedly closed.  I would surmise that the runway is still 
open at Dallas NAS due to the Aircraft Plants on the other side of the 
field.  Just into Memphis NAS recently that has has closed and there are 
still some activities going on there.  Since you are close how about 
calling the Reserve unit at Ft Worth NAS/Carswell and they should be 
able to give you all the correct information.  Also would make a nice 
informative drive to go down there and see for yourself what's going on 
there and tell all of us.  I think they announce closings then have 
quite a long phase out period.....Jim....
