The Falcon rifles have a 1/8 British Standard Pipe (BSP) thread, male, on
the front. Their quick fill adaptor screws onto it for a filler probe. The
probe has a 1/8 BSP thread for fixing on the hose.
The Daystate used to have a 1/8 BSP thread, female, into which the filler
adaptor screwed in. When the quick fill was fitted an adaptor was screwed
in and the quick fill valve screwed over it with seals in between. The
latest Daystates have a quick fill valve as standard which is also the non
return valve for the reserviour. The female portion of the quick fill fits
to the hose with a 1/8 BSP thread
The older 100 series Air Arms had a 1/8 BSP male thread on which the hose
screwed. The quick fill valve screwed onto the male thread. The female
portion of the quick fill screwed onto the hose with 1/8 BSP thread. I have
not seen the S 300 but I believe it has the same thread.
The Webley Axsor has a probe that is pushed into the front of the cylinder.
The probe is fitted to the hose by a 1/8 BSP thread.
As can be seen the 1/8 BSP is standard. The exception is the Theoben range
which have a 1/4 BSP thread on the bottle to receiver conection.
The one to watch out for is the RN10 with a removable cylinder as the
thread on the cylinder is non standard, made to Air Arms own design. To
fill it requires a special connector to adapt the thread to a BSP size.
Having gone through all this it has just occurred to me that maybe they
alter the threads for use in other countries!
