Only thing, if you scratch the top of the CD, and go thru the gold (sorta) 
layer you trash the CD..  :{
Use a felt marker on them, not a pen..

With a bit of kludging in config.sys it should be able to read some files off 
the CD, but this would be much slower then off the h-drive..

Compaq seems pretty good about this..  At least the settings seem stable 
anyway..  Machines I see comming in use the same h-ware for several months 
anyway..

Thanks for the info..  I know there are more then 1 in NT..  One gets 
generated when you install NT, another when you join a domain..  Only Satan 
knows how more there are..  :}
