Right now, I'm waiting and see. I have not yet delved into Java (but JBuilder
is supposed to be similar enough to the Delphi environment that it should not
cause too many headaches).
My point is that the WIntel platform has built up such a momentum that it
will be tough to replace. The strength of NC's is that they will be very well
suited to the mass markets. As long as I don't jump deeply into that
particular market (which is based on large sales, but low margins), I think
I'll be fine.
Predicting the future is difficult, however Borland has shown on the Borland
Conference in Nashville that it is relatively easy to create client/server
environments with Java as front-end and Delphi as back-end, so I think
staying with Delphi is fine at least for the forseeable future.
