Much was made of VideoCore IV's capability on the RPi, has anything
useful come of it? I played around with the "experimental gl driver"
but it was too unstable to useful. Apart from the initial ballyhoo
some years ago, nothing seems to be said about it recently.

Did it die? Get delayed? Not work? Run afoul of licensing issues?
