| subject: | Corel Suite 8 BOOK? |
Can anyone recommend a good book for the Corel Suite 8 product? My PC came with Suite 8 pre-installed and I was only provided with the original CDROM. No book. (I *did* get a book for Draw7 which was also pre-installed.) Anyway... I've seen a book published by Corel Press for the "Corel Suite 8 Professionial" product. But the darn thing was over CAN$70 !!! No thanks. Besides, I only have the non-Pro version. Is there a more affordable SAMs or QUE book out? .:. /|ug --- FleetStreet 1.21+ --------------- ** A related thread FOLLOWS this message. Could well be as I believe that Corel posted a huge first quarter or last quarter loss? Didn't I read somewhere where it was something over two undred million dolars. Didn't I read somewhere where it was something LO>over two hundred million dolars. From the Corel Web Site: Ottawa, CanadaùJanuary 20, 1998ù Today, Corel Corporation released its 1997 fourth quarter financial results and results for its fiscal year ended November 30, 1997. (All the financial information is expressed in U.S. currency.) Revenues for the fourth quarter were $43.6 million, and for the full year were $260.6 million. The Company's net loss for the 1997 fiscal year was $231.8 million or $3.34 per share (fully diluted), which corresponds with the aggregate of the previously reported results for the first three quarters and the estimated loss for the fourth quarter of $95 million announced on December 18, 1997. That estimate included a write-off of approximately $28 million relating to the unamortized balance of costs of certain JAVA technologies acquired through technology exchange transactions during the first three quarters of fiscal 1997. I read an article from the NYT which said that WP8 was the victim of poor marketing. Whenever I get catalogs, I always look to see if it is there and to see what the price is. I was lucky, I picked my upgrade copy at $114 US dollars which is the best price I've seen anywhere. I also remember getting a good laugh from the term "bloatware" (in reference to WP8) used to describe the latest release. True, it does much more than what I want it for. I see there is a lot of web stuff you can do with it which I don't have use for. But, everyone's assumed to have web access (I DON'T!) --- OLX 1.53 Private Reply?
