I'll take issue with the usual typedef for time_t being "unsigned" :-). The only compiler I've got which typdef's it to "unsigned long" is Watcom (10.0a), all the others I've checked (Borland DOS 3.1 & OS/2 1.0, IBM CSET++ V2.0 and Visualage C++ V3.0, Microsoft C 6.0a, TopSpeed C 3.1) typedef it to "long".
