G'day Chris,

CB> GG>> The name of the program is MIRC.
 CB>
CB> CB>> I got an NT version of that a couple of days ago, installed
CB> CB>> it, and get a "failed to connect to host" type
error message
CB> CB>> on running it. I'll ask the guy that runs the ISP service
 CB>
CB> GG> Sigh... bloody windows users.
 CB>
CB> Yup, sigh. Problem is, like Bob L, it works well for me,
 CB> with no simple alternative...

I don't argue OS's, as each person's preference is their own.

CB> Thanks for that - the ISP said similar things, though different
CB> server names. I'll give it another go one night this week.

Glad to know you got a response from your ISP so soon.

CB> GG> I'd believe it only when you use it and find it is faster.
 CB>
CB> I've said the same myself... I'm leaving it till the 30th,
CB> and then see for myself if accessing USA sites are quicker...

I don't know what it's like accessing US from Australia, but lately
accessing Oz from US is much better than it was.

CB> You forgot Bob Moran's lies - This is a great and reliable car.

I had to stop and think about this one -- ta. It finally clicked when
the phrase "Bob Moran Can" went through my mind. Nothing like a bit
of home to make you want to stay where you are. ;-)

CB> GG> It depends on how fast the proof readers finish up with it.
CB> GG> I've been finishing up some detailed chapters and as soon as I
CB> GG> get the Immigration stuff finished up
 CB>
CB> Hmmm, you coming back permanantly?

No, I'm just gonna come back and root Rod until one of us dies of
exhaustion.

CB> GG> IOW, no fucking idea at all. Soon, I hope.
 CB>
 CB> I'll be waiting ;)

:-) This week I wrote an autobiographical love story.

Cheers,
Gaelyne
