RV> When you consider Barry (Paradise sysop) had 4x1gig drives RV> earlier this year and was worried he was running out of space, RV> well now he has 4x2.5gig HD's and is now worried he is running RV> out of space....... But that's the rule, isn't it? Data will expand to fill all available devices irrespective of the size of the devices. Dunno WHOSE law it is, but it's in a few "computer laws" texts I have seen. RV> Wouldn't it be easier to pull TRAPDOOR via Arthur's feed? Or is RV> Arthur under some sort of non-pass on agreement? Well, no. It doesn't work that way. I don't link with him, and Net 640 isn't linked to any other net for the TRAPDOOR echo RV> I suppose you've already looked into getting the echo yourself RV> either from Soft-tech or Paradise, std calls attract no charge RV> to the feed. Or is this the problem? They won't allow you to RV> pass on specific N640 brought in echo's? Yes, but I need to call someone on the TrapDoor development team to get TRAPDOOR.BETA, TRAPDOOR.DEVEL and AREAFIX.BETA, so I may as well pull in TRAPDOOR at the same time, and be timely linked to The Mad House. The Zone 2 Zone 1 gate for TRAPDOOR is horribly unreliable, and by sourcing it in Zone 2 I can at least hear what the TrapCrew says, and if I miss the odd message from Zone 1, well, it's only a bunch of yanks. PD> Want to tell me exactly how N640's TRAPDOOR feed is currently flowing? RV> Err.. umm.. ahhh.. how should I say this... err... well you see, RV> I don't get the TRAPDOOR echo and know little about it ;-) Oh. Well anyone ELSE please....
