Subject: recursive function

Hi-

I'm using VB4/16 bit and I have PB DLL compiler 1.5.

I have an old expression evaluator that Ethan Winer wrote ten years
ago. It's a recursive function. You give it an expression like
"45>SQR(4) AND 33<2" and it returns if it is true or not. I put it in a
PB DLL and it works! But it gets progressively slower each time I call
it. If my database contains 20,000 data points then I call this thing
20,000 times. It's always correct, but toward the end it may take 5 to
10 times as long as the first few calls!

Thanks for any ideas,
Brad Stone (salinon1@airmail.net)
