ST> OOoh...I like my birdie kids so much better than my human
ST> kids...don't miss the human kids at all..;)
SH> Heh heh... plus when they're noisy, you can put the cover
SH> over their cage and hush them up!
Hehehe yea sure can...but I don't cover the kids till bed
time...if they want to squawk and scream they can do that...this
is there house too....sometimes there is quite a conversation
going on in the living room while I'm at the computer...I can
hear the tiels and the lovebrat talking back and forth...and of
course the keets never shut up...but there chatter is very
relaxing to me...;) I often threatened to build a cage for my
youngest son...hehehe sorry now that I didn't...hehehe
SH> My parrot does that too... if i let him on the table after
SH> dinner, he removes all the crumbs and chunks, and drops them
SH> off the table. Too bad they're not that neat in their own
SH> cages! :->
Oooh...doesn't he throw all of his feathers on the floor???
My Tiels seem to like to pick up the feathers and throw them out
of the cage and there isn't a feather in the lovebrats cage...she
stuffs her's out the cage bars...;)
SH> Hope you have good luck with them... what do you do with the
SH> babies? Do you sell them thru pet stores? We went to a bird
I haven't had any babies yet...and I didn't intend on breeding
any of my birds...but she has taken that idea out of the
picture...if and when she has some...there is a new pet shop in
my area...the owner is very very interested in birds...and
several of the local breeders have been selling to him...I figure
I will contact him when the time is right...;) I sure can't keep
them all...and I wouldn't give a lovebrat to my best
friend...they just aren't good companions...;(
SH> fair last month... they had normal 'tiels going for $30/each.
SH> Almost got one, but felt a little leery about the lack of a
SH> health guarantee, and not knowing the breeders. Do you think
SH> if/when the time comes, it would be better to deal with a local
SH> breeder?
That is a great price....I paid $50 for each of my tiels from a
local breeder...;) I would prefer to get a bird from a local
breeder rather than a pet store...but that is my preference..and
I was very very lucky to get my tiels from a woman that knew her
babies..she is now one of my best friends...;) I'm getting my
new bird from a breeder in Arizona that I met over the
internet...have been talking to him for several months...and
couldn't find one in the area that wasn't related to mine...;)
