subject: rotating labs

I was wondering how Computer Teachers handled getting individual teachers,
and classes in and out of the lab on a rotational basis. In other words,
I've got a lab with about 30 computers in it. I'm sure I'll be teaching a
bunch of classes in it most of the time, but other teachers / classes are
going to want to use it. I'd like to figure out ahead of time how I'm going
to do this.
I'm coming from 7 years as a Science Teacher to being the Computer Technology
teacher (and un-official Tech Coordinator for the school).
I'm also thinking of perhaps making groups of five computers into sort of
"learning stations" of different types....one set for productivity
applications, one set for multimedia apps, one for Internet access, etc.
I'd love to hear the "voice of experience" on what they think about this.
Thanks !
