Hi Julia,
I just got my Fido feed back and I'm so happy. I hope it lasts for awhile.
JSł Needless to say I am a bit behind here... Spent this holiday weekend
in b
JSł ... I did a big NO NO! I ate some candy and it did a
eal
JSł number on me... I know better but is sure did taste good when it went
down
JSł . But then I have paid dearly for that action... and it is unlikely
that
JSł will do this one again for a very long time!!! !
Boy I've been there and done that and said that. There always seems to
be another time though. The mind forgets how sick I get and needs to be
reminded.
JSł > BW> quilts and RS. I got into RS a little but I can't seems to make

JSł > BW> be good to yourself. and I hope to hear from you soon. good to be
JSł > BW> getting back in the swing of living again..
JSł The company that is at the bottom of my list,
JSł Stamp Affair. ... and believe me I have any number of their
products.
JSł including stamps and EP's.... the EP's just don't measure up to the
quality
 JSł many of their competitors.
Wallmart sells Stamp Affair embossing powders and supplies only. So
she is probably using Stamp Affair. I have used it though and not had to
much of a problem with it. Like you say it depends on the color she is
using. I've found their clear ep o.k. and never had a problem with it.
JSł There are several companies that in my opinion make good to great EP's.
Th
JSł are Embossing Arts, Stamp'n Stuff, ... but there is another company that does great tinselettes
that I
JSł like... again the price tags can be a bit steep for some of these
powders..
JSł but the results are wonderful! Any more I use mostly Stamp'n Stuff.
Posh Impressions makes the tinselettes. I want some so bad but can't
afford them. Posh also has a line of ep named "Wild and Natural" that I've
always wanted to try, but it's to expensive to buy them all. I also LOVE
their "Spellbinder" ep.. I think Posh is a good company and has good
products. I bought a 6" brayer from them that is to dye for. It covers
the entire card at once and it's wonderful. They have a new 4" foam brayer
I'm dying to try, but don't have the money just yet. Hopefull I'll get it
pretty soon. I've never heard of Stamp'n Stuff. I'll have to see if I can
get a catalog.
JSł now I have 64 different colors and textures of EP's that I can play
with... JSł many of them I buy in bulk so that I don't have to worry about
running out JSł can get a good measure as part of a co-op that I have done
here with other JSł fido users....
Lets do it again! I haven't wanted to ask you because of your health, but
it's been awhile and I'd love to get some of the above mentioned powders.
I use so much now what with teaching classes.
JSł I have also gone to making my own RS's. I market them ... as well as make any number of designs for
my o
JSł personal use... I have found this to be a much more economically way to
JSł enhance my RS's .... I just added another 24 stamp designs to my RS's
here
JSł last month by making my own stamps. And the cost was minimal.
By the way, I was in a store the other day and I found a postcard with a
picture almost exactly like the one I sent you of my church. Is it
possible to use this to make a dye as nothing else seems to be working?
JSł well over 1000. I have a number of stamps that are still awaiting
mounts..
JSł just have not had the opportunity to get to them to do the mounts
..
Thats something I want to learn to do. I want to mount my own. ALAART
sends me free dyes and I make sample cards for them but I'd like to
permanently mount them. I'm not crazy about the way they have me doing it
now. How can I get instructions on mounting my own dyes? The ones ALAART
sends me are already on a sticky back.
Man its wonderful to talk stamping and crafting again. I've missed it so
much.
JSł Once I get things settled here I will most likely get in touch with
Pat a
JSł Joan about doing another EP co-op. I was hoping to
be a
JSł to do one before this but things don't always go the way you want them

   Yipee!
JSł Now since I have babbled on and on Bettie, can you be a bit more
specific
JSł about the problem that you are having with the EP? Maybe there is a way
to
JSł solve it for you with a bit of ease??? And what company are you
JSł using...? Is there a specific color too? As I mentioned all of these
facto
JSł will figure into what it takes to get good results...
Great questions Julia. I was asking all the same ones as I was reading her
post.
I'm sure this didn't happen to her, but I've been known to use clear
glitter when I thought I was using clear ep (picked up the wrong one) and
then sat there and tried to figure out why it wouldn't rise to the heat.
It's amazing some of the goofy mistakes one can make. Thats all part of
the fun. Once when I first starting stamping I actually poured the powder
onto the stamp by mistake and then just sat there and looked at the mess I
made and felt like an idiot.
Great talking to you Julia. I hadn't heard from you and I was concerned.
Take care........Val
