  This is only a tentative suggestion, but you may try deriving your own
  sorted set class from ISortedSet that takes a parameter indicating the
  sort method, and that applies that parameter to its contained elements
  immediately before comparing them.

  This may be impracticable, of course.  I don't use Open Class
  regularly enough to know the details of ISortedSet and whether this is
  possible or not.
