It's not the locals, Keith.  Southern migration has been running at an
average of 1000 people per week for quite some time now (published govt
figures too), and if that's true, then the majority of new housing is
indeed being taken by southerners.  If I knew exactly who to ask, I'd try
to verify that.

The (highset) over the road is being rented out by its owner who moved down
to the Snowy, and we have so far had to put up with three southern families
who used it as an interim home until they bought their own.  No locals so
far.
